Cabin Life - Hochatown, OK

Have you ever just wanted to escape and go on a trip by yourself? If you’re a mom, I’m sure this has crossed your mind at least a dozen times. A lot of us don’t always get that luxury, we usually just have to hide in the bathroom to get away from the chaos. Well, guess what? Not anymore! You can visit Hochatown, OK without breaking the bank and you can even invite the kids! There is plenty to do to keep them busy and enough wineries to keep you chill!

Hochatown, OK is community just about 10 min north of Broken Bow, OK. They are well known for holding the second Hochatown name after the first was flooded by the damming of Mountain Fork River. A lot of the local businesses have used this history to name their establishments.

I was invited to come down on a last minute trip by my friends at Lake Life Cabins. They invited to me stay in their Mornin’ Sunrise Cabin. The cabins in Hochatown are amazing to say the least! I’ll let you see for yourself……

Lake Life Cabins are top notch! The owner Dave was very meticulous in creating a functional yet, amazing oasis. Every detail was thought out down to the electrical outlets. They are USB friendly and as a blogger, that’s super important! In addition, they have a fully stocked kitchen with all of the essentials to make you feel right at home. They even equipped each cabin with a washer and dyer. This is also super important to me, as I like to make sure my clothes are clean before returning home. No one wants to come home from a vacation and have to do laundry! Am I right?

Dave has also added a new feature to his cabins to make your stay EVEN smoother. He now has a Welcome Guide App! With this app you’re able to receive check in information, plan your activities, check out all the best food around town and access a map to make sure you never get lost. Also, just a side note: if you name drop Dave’s name you’ll receive preferential treatment. Ha ha ha….He’s kind of a local celebrity in Hochatown and everyone loves him!

I was honored and privileged for the experience of a lifetime. I absolutely enjoyed every moment! I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. I decided to go alone and have a mommy vacation. It was much needed! However, Hochatown is perfect for everyone. Whether you need mommy relaxation, a mini family vacation or even a couples weekend getaway. You will not be disappointed with Lake Life Cabins, I promise. You can thank me later.

It makes it super easy for traveling because everything is super close and you don’t have to travel too far to get somewhere. Here’s a list of some of my favorite attractions and restaurants. I loved the Mountain Fork Brewery so much that I ate there twice! One evening I had dinner there and they had live music, it was amazing! I also was able to check out Okie Girls Coffee & Ice Cream.
